DIRECTOR

In the winter of 2023, I had the honor of directing Stanford Light Opera Company’s mainstage, Mary Poppins.

Mary Poppins represents everything I enjoy most about live entertainment. It reminds you how wonderful things can be when looked at through the eyes of a child. That universal joy was my north star for the project and has continued to influence the way I approach my creations.

Mary Poppins was also the largest project I had led up until that point. As the director, I worked with the scenic, lighting, sound, costume, choreography, music, and vocal direction teams to create a show that was unified in vision and polished in product.
